Sunday Drive: Select Works from the Permanent Collecton

September 6, 2016 – November 5, 2016

Beginning in the 1920s and 1930s with the rise of the automobile many began driving on Sundays as a form of pleasure rather than commuting or for errands. This became known as a Sunday drive. We hope you enjoy this selection of black and white prints from our permanent collection that showcase the various scenes one might see as they travel from the city and into more rural and country landscapes.
