Holiday Celebrations at AMOA

The Anderson Museum of Art (AMOA) will celebrate the season with a lineup of festive events that will bring joy and magic to the community throughout December. From family-friendly activities to a chance to shop for unique gifts, there’s something for everyone to enjoy this holiday season!

Winterfest for First Friday – December 6, 2024 (5-8 p.m.)
Join us for Winterfest, AMOA’s celebration of First Friday, on December 6 from 5 to 8 p.m.!
This festive day is filled with activities for all ages:
● Hues of Happiness: Be among the first to experience our new Hues of Happiness
exhibition, celebrating the life and legacy of beloved community member Marilyn Ault.
This exhibition features a curated selection of artwork from AMOA’s permanent
collection alongside pieces from the Aults’ personal collection, each chosen for its
connection to Marilyn’s belief in the transformative power of art to inspire peace, beauty,
and joy.
● Soroptimist International of Anderson Cookie Walk: Don’t miss the Soroptimist
Cookie Walk, where you can pick up an assortment of homemade cookies for just $8 per
dozen. Proceeds support women’s educational awards in Madison County, a great cause
this holiday season.
● A.R.T.S. (A Reason to Shop): Our local marketplace is back! Find unique gifts from
local vendors at A.R.T.S. (A Reason to Shop) and visit the AMOA Shop for locally
made art and crafts, perfect for holiday gifting.
● Winterfest Fun: Enjoy complimentary refreshments, kids’ crafts, and special guests
from Detour Salon & Style, who will add sparkle to your holiday season with winter
hair tinsel.
