1981.10.1.1 - Adaptation of an Efik Ibibio folktale illustrated with 18 blind-embossed intaglio designs printed from carved linoleum with some silkscreen. Text printed letterpress in 30 pt Baskerville. 200 copies, 45 proofs - ten unbound 4 pp sections - 38 x 29 cm on Somerset mold-made paper in canvas-colored solander box with a blocked crab motif. "AN AFRICAN FOLKTALE" is written on the spine in brown. Size: 16" x 12.125"
1981.10.1.2 - Folded, unbound white paper with "AN AFRICAN FOLKTALE" on the outside front in black and "Circle Press Publications 1979" on the outside back in black. Inside right an embossed shell. Below shell, signed in pencil "Willow Legge". Black type "This is number 140 (140 in pencil) of an edition of 200 books / with 30 Artist's Proofs plus 5 copies marked H.C. and 10 copies / held for presentation, all signed and numbered by the artist." Size: 14.75" x 23" (11.5" width when closed).
1981.10.1.3 - Folded, unbound white paper with "An African Folktale" printed in blue on the outside front. "with blind intaglio & screenprints by Willow Legge" printed in black on the inside left. Inside right, two large circles overlapping, one gold and one a light grey/green. Below is an embossed crab. Size: 14.75" x 23" (11.5" width when closed)
1981.10.1.4 - Folded, unbound white paper with "This is the story of..." printed in black on the outside front. Across the inside is printed "why the sun and the moon live in the sky" in black. Below the type are two blue wave shapes. Along the inside right is an embossed circle with three embossed rings all overlapping. Size: 14.75" x 23" (11.5" width when closed).
1981.10.1.5 - Folded, unbound white paper with "Many years ago the sun and the water were / great friends, and both lived on the earth together." "5" printed in black at the bottom of the outside front. There is a screen print above the type of a light green square with a yellow sun inside broken up into 7 rough horizontal bars. Outside back begins with "The water then said, 'If you wish me to visit you, / you must build a very large compound..." printed in black "8" at the bottom. Inside left mauve print of a circle on top of three arches and type that begins "The sun very often used to visit the water..." "6". Right inside has a type that begins "The water replied that the sun's house was not..." with an embossed sand dollar that has five tentacles. Size: 14.75" x 23" (11.5" width when closed).
1981.10.1.6 - Folded, unbound white paper with fourteen embossed fish in various sizes on the outside front. Purple square with a white moon within a golden circle and seventeen golden rays on the outside back. Purple octopus on the inside right with black type "...and take up a lot of room.'" "11" at the bottom. Size: 14.75" x 23" (11.5" width when closed).
1981.10.1.7 - Folded, unbound white paper with a brown and tan decorative square with geometric fillers on the outside front. Within the square begins black type "The sun promised to build a very big ..." Inside type on left begins "When it was completed, he asked the water to come..." Across the center "The water then began to flow in, accompanied by the fish and all the water animals." "14" all in black type. There are three embossed animals a fish, a sea horse, and a swan shape on the right. Size: 14.75" x 23" (11.5" width when closed).
1981.10.1.8 - Folded, unbound white paper with black type that begins "Very soon the water was knee-deep, so he asked..." below is an embossed shrimp. Outside back is a blue circle with the silver sun on top. There is a black print at the bottom that begins "The sun and the moon both answered, ..." and "20". Inside left "When the water was level with the top of..." and on the inside right "'Do you want more of my people to come?'" Inside right also has a color print of sun setting in a square shape, possibly water. There is a male figure in the blue area holding a spear. Size: 14.75" x 23" (11.5" width when closed).

1981.10.1.10 - Folded, unbound white paper with an embossed circle with many rays closely together on the outside front. Below printed in black "and the sun and the moon were forced to go up into the sky where they have remained ever since" and "25". Inside right has a short paragraph about the type and other technical features. "Copyright Willow Legge & Circle Press 1979." Size: 14.75" x 23" (11.5" width when closed).
