Tours

We welcome groups to tour the facility and to learn more about the history, collection, exhibits, and architecture of the AMOA. With advanced notice, guided tours can be tailored for groups. Depending on the type of tour, we request a two to four-week notice. There is a small fee for group tours (including Tuesdays). Prices vary depending on content of tour/activity.

We can work with you to develop what works for your group! The focus can be:

  • the history and architecture of the building;
  • tours that relate to exhibitions;
  • tours for children/group outings to the Passport for Adventure!;
  • tours that combine activities mentioned above in addition to classroom activities or an artist’s demonstration.

Tour guests are welcome to bring a sack lunch. Space is available to eat in the building or outside on the lawn. For more information please give us a call at 765.649.1248.

Group Tour Fees:
$3 per person for staff assisted Gallery & Facility Tours
$3 per person for staff assisted Passport to Adventure! Tours
$4 per person for staff assisted combination Gallery & Facility Tours and Passport to Adventure! Tours.
The above options require a $20 minimum base fee.

$5 per person for staff assisted combination Gallery & Facility Tours and Passport to Adventure! Tours as well as a classroom art activity.
The above option requires a $50 minimum base fee. 

Handicapped Accessibility:

The building has been renovated with accessibility in mind. An entrance just to the right of Jackson Street has a canopied entry for persons with mobility impairments to enter into a reception area. The areas has an elevator that can take them up t the first level or down to the lower level. Wheelchairs are available for those who may wish to use them. There are also parking spaces at the northeast corner of the building only a short distance from the Jackson Street entry.
